The Commission conducts the Service/Departmental Examinations prescribed for Government servants as specified in the Karnataka Public Service Commission(Conduct of Service Examination) Rules, 1965, and Karnataka Civil Services (Service and Kannada Language Examinations) Rules, 

The Examinations will be conducted in accordance with such syllabus specified in any general or special orders of the Government.

Fees for KAS examination in Bangalore will vary from Medium of Instructions. Duration of the classes, Stages of the exams and so on many. In general the fees will be minimum 25000 and maximum 75000
